Informed Consent and Disclaimer for Coaching using Energy Healing Techniques
Energy psychology, energy medicine, and energy healing is under the auspices of complimentary and alternative medicine. It is still considered experimental in nature although that does not mean there isn't research.
Releasing stress patterns in your life using coaching and the Energy Healing methods practiced by Rebecca Cook, whether in person or by proxy, is not a substitute for medical care. The information in your session is for your personal wellness journey and is not intended as medical advice and should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment. Information given to you on this site or in any session obtained from this site is not intended to create any physician/therapist-patient relationship, nor should it be considered a replacement for consultation with a healthcare professional. If you have questions or concerns about your physical or mental health, please contact your healthcare provider. Energy Healing promotes harmony and balance within, relieving stress and supporting the body's natural ability to heal. Energy healing is recognized as a valuable and effective complement to conventional medical care. Since each person’s journey is uniquely their own, we can make no claims as to healing or recovery from any illness. It is implicitly understood when you register for a session, you acknowledge this information is offered as a wellness coaching service you are choosing as an aid for your healing journey and is not meant to replace or take the place of any medical or mental health treatment. Rebecca is offering sessions to you as a Coach. Coaching is not therapy, although Rebecca is a licensed occupational therapist in Michigan and has five years of offering stress management class experiences in a hospital setting. For your coaching experience, she is certified in the Emotional Freedom Technique, the Emotion Code, the Body Code, the Ignite Your Power Mastery Program, and the Fear Releasing Coaching Method. She specializes in pain and stress release for professional women through in-person bodywork therapy, mind-body horseback riding lessons, and through life/wellness/business coaching sessions. Here are a couple of blogs I wrote about energy work: https://desertwell.wordpress.com/2018/01/22/the-good-the-bad-the-ugly/ https://desertwell.wordpress.com/2019/07/15/what-are-chakras/.
Here’s my personal experience with energy work and an idea of what to expect: https://desertwell.wordpress.com/2019/06/18/the-backstory/ Please be aware that old memories and/or emotions may arise in your sessions, like they did for me in the blog above and we’ll use the research-based technique called tapping (emotional freedom technique) to help manage the stress response. You have the right to opt out or refuse to do any of the sessions or work that makes you uncomfortable; you are the ‘boss’ in a coaching relationship and I expect and encourage you to take charge of our sessions and your life. You also acknowledge that you are responsible for your own wellbeing in our coaching sessions and will agree to seek any outside help you require for your mental and physical health if the need arises. Any questions you have before, during, or after your sessions can be directed to Rebecca at Rcookotr@gmail.com
